The new Xbox, dubbed the XBOX Series X, is set to debut on November 10th. The Xbox Series X will cost $499 and will be Microsoft’s first all-digital, the next-gen console in its smallest, sleekest Xbox yet. “An all-digital, next-generation console designed to deliver everything that is core.
Thanks to SSD storage, a far more powerful CPU, 120Hz support, and outstanding backward compatibility features that improve existing games, the Xbox Series X comes the closest I’ve ever seen to recreating the great PC gaming experience. This is all contained in a $499 package that’s quieter and easier to use and maintain than a high-power gaming PC.
The latest Xboxes are here, with more power than ever before in boxier bodies. The $499 Xbox Series X, which we tested, is one of Microsoft’s newest console generations. The Lenovo IdeaCentre X Phab Plus features an Intel Core i5-8265U CPU, 8 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive for multitasking. It also has Dolby Atmos technology with two downward-firing speakers. The gaming system is powered by the Zen 2 CPU, RDNA 2 GPU, and SSD storage

A Huge Black Box
The X-Box Series’ name is certainly more appropriate than any other Xbox model to date. Simply said, it’s a huge, black block with sharp right-angle corners and dimensions of 12 by 6 by 6 inches (HWD). The top is made up of a gridlike grille that conceals green highlights that resemble the original Xboxes.
The Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with the Xbox Series X is similar to the one you get with the Xbox One systems. The new casing, like its ancestor, has a curved profile, big handles, and a matte plastic shell. Between the Menu and View buttons now sits a Capture button, which is below the glowing Guide button in the gamepad’s center.
Aside from these changes, the gamepad now has an octagonal directional pad with deep grooves rather than the plus-shaped pad on the old controller. Aside from these modifications, there is no difference in functionality between this gamepad and its predecessors; it’s simply a fantastic gaming controller. It comes with USB-C for direct charging.
Welcome the Future New Generation
The Xbox X Series is a powerful and fast gaming system, with enough power and speed to play today’s top games. The system doesn’t make the case for the PlayStation 5’s small number of PS5-exclusive titles because there aren’t any new, high-profile, exclusive games for it, but that issue will go away as more Xbox games.
While the Xbox S is only around half the price of the X, it offers a worse overall value. You lose the optical drive, have less storage space (a major issue if you can’t use disc-based games), and obtain far less computing power than the X to save $200. While the Xbox X costs significantly more, it’s a.
In the end, the Series X competes on an equal footing with the PlayStation 5, implying that, as usual, you must compare the game libraries of each console to determine which is best suited to your preferences. They’re both fantastic systems, but the Xbox Series X has superior backward compatibility, while the PS5 offers a few more haptic feedback.
Final Thoughts
With native 4K graphics and an SSD for lightning-quick loads, the Xbox X is Microsoft’s most powerful game system to date. It’s also the company’s first all-digital console, which means you’ll need to purchase all games through the Microsoft Store or another digital retailer. Despite its lack of exclusive titles at launch, the X is a worthy investment for gamers who want the most powerful console on the market.
