Retailers Restocking PS5
The PS5 has been spotted at Walmart locations all over the United States. This console is one of the most popular items that they have in stock, so we recommend checking your local store to see if they have any in stock.
Similar to Walmart, Best Buy is also selling the PS5 at all of its locations. If you’re looking to get your hands on this console, then stopping by your local Best Buy is the best way to do so!
The PS5 has also been spotted at GameStop stores nationwide. This gaming retailer is known for having a wide variety of different consoles and games, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a PS5.
Target is also one of the many stores that have the PS5 in stock. If you’re looking to buy this console, then be sure to check your nearest Target store!
If you’re not able to find the PS5 at any of your local stores, then we recommend checking eBay. There are many different sellers that are selling this console, so you’re sure to find a deal there! Although the price may be higher than retail you can always negotiate.
You may buy a PlayStation 5 right now if you’re feeling the strain (and we know that with so many large PS5 games releasing over the next several months, pressure is on), but at the cost of a significant markup on sites like eBay or StockX. On eBay, for example, we’ve seen PS5 systems priced as much as $2000. Insane I know, but currently, you can find them for around $900.

So there is speculation that games being developed from now on will have a separate mode for each console so that users won’t feel the need to upgrade, Ryan continued. “I think you’ll see from our PS5 line-up that there are a number of games that will absolutely be PS4 Pro Enhanced,” he said. “There are titles in development that will not be cross-generational, that will be PS5 titles.”
Why it’s so hard to find the PS5
The first reason is the most apparent: Because of its popularity, the system is difficult to come by. Sony claims that the PS5 has been its most popular console since its debut, having already sold more than 13 million copies.
The second reason is that the worldwide chip shortage, which affects almost all of the world’s electronics, has persisted for months. Sony did say, however, that it has enough chips to fulfill its objective of 14.8 million consoles by the end of the financial year.
The third issue is that bots are to blame. Resellers employ software to acquire a large number of PS5s at once, leaving just a few for people to purchase. During restocking on the PS5, retail stores added several bot protection measures, but they only limit resellers’ abilities.
PS5 Greed and Bots are the Blame
The PS5 is a very popular console, and it’s currently sold out at most stores. If you’re looking to buy one, we recommend checking eBay or Target. Keep in mind that the price may be higher than retail, but you can always negotiate. Additionally, PS4 Pro games will work on the PS5, so you don’t need to upgrade if you’re happy with your PS4 Pro. However, some games may look better on the PS5 than on the PS4 Pro. Lastly, bots are to blame for the PS5’s high demand and shortage.
