For better or worse, conferences appear to be back, so to help you work out what events to head to in 2023, TechRadar Pro has curated a list of the most important international technology events and conferences coming this year.


IFA Berlin

September 1-5 | Berlin

Billed as the world’s largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show, IFA has been around for one year shy of a century – Einstein even opened the 1930 edition!

Why attend? In line with its impressive pedigree, this year’s event will feature heavyweight talks on the future of technology, including the latest innovations in smart homes and the importance of the chip war in shaping our lives.


SpiceWorld

September 5-7 | Austin, TX

Dedicated to the new AI revolution the world is currently undergoing, the Generative AI World Conference from GAI Insights is appropriately being held in the intellectual powerhouse of Cambridge, MA. 

Why attend? Since AI is dominating the technology space right now, it would be wise to learn about its potential, pitfalls and challenges. The event will also feature esteemed speakers from Microsoft, PwC, the Mayo Clinic, and Harvard Business School.


International Cyber Expo

September 26-27 | London

Money 20/20 brings together the world’s leaders in payments, banking and fintech, so shouldn’t be missed.

WebexOne

October 24-26 | Anaheim & virtual

The video conferencing service Webex is presenting this three-day event on workplace collaboration and customer experience, with a focus on the role played by the latest innovations in AI, among others.

Why attend? WebexOne will feature industry experts and customers who will speak about the emerging trends in the new field of hybrid working, and the company will also be exhibiting its new Webex Hologram product.

TechBash

November 7-10 | Pennsylvania

Held in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, TechBash will feature world-class experts in the fields of mobile, web, desktop and SaaS app development to inform developers of any level.

Why attend? Pitching itself as accessible to all, this conference wants to inspire developers with its sessions and talks, and promises to feature some big-name vendors who’ll bring along their latest innovations to show off.


Web Summit

November 13-16 | Lisbon

At Web Summit, the main question is always: where next? At a time of great uncertainty, this question has never been more important.

Why attend? This large-scale event attracts thousands of attendees and tens of high-profile speakers. Previous line-ups have included Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen, Apple’s Craig Federighi and Sir Tim Berners-Lee, creator of the internet.
